1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on SportBazaar ("the Platform", "the Service"), you ("the User") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Nature of the Platform

SportBazaar is a fantasy sports simulation game for entertainment purposes only. The Platform simulates a stock market where users trade virtual shares of real athletes using virtual currency.

  • All currency on the Platform is virtual and has no real-world monetary value.
  • Virtual shares, holdings, dividends, and portfolio values cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or converted to real money, cryptocurrency, or any other form of real-world value.
  • The Platform is not a gambling service, betting platform, securities exchange, or financial instrument of any kind.
  • No real money is wagered, risked, won, or lost through use of the Platform.
  • The Platform does not facilitate, encourage, or constitute gambling under any jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this requirement.

4. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts may be terminated without notice.
  • We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account at our sole discretion.

5. Game Rules and Mechanics

  • Users receive virtual starting cash upon joining a tournament.
  • Trading occurs through sealed hourly batch clearing and instant house trades.
  • Trading may be halted for players whose teams are in a live match.
  • Dividends are calculated based on real match performances using a fantasy points system.
  • Player prices are determined by market activity and a house market maker algorithm.
  • We reserve the right to modify game rules, scoring systems, trading mechanics, clearing schedules, pricing algorithms, and any other aspect of the game at any time without prior notice.
  • We may reset, adjust, or recalculate virtual balances, holdings, or standings to correct errors or for any other reason.
  • Tournament outcomes, leaderboard rankings, and all game results are final as determined by us.

6. Third-Party Data

The Platform relies on third-party data providers (including but not limited to CricAPI) for match scores, player statistics, and related information. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data.

  • Errors in third-party data may affect scoring, dividends, and game outcomes.
  • We are not liable for any impact caused by inaccurate, delayed, or missing third-party data.
  • We may retroactively correct game outcomes when data errors are identified, at our sole discretion.

7. AI-Powered Features

The Platform includes an AI-powered chatbot ("Ask the Analyst") for entertainment and informational purposes.

  • AI responses are not financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals.
  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, outdated, or misleading.
  • You are solely responsible for your trading decisions on the Platform.
  • We are not liable for any losses (virtual or otherwise) resulting from actions taken based on AI recommendations.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, algorithms, and branding on the Platform are the property of SportBazaar or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on any part of the Platform without express written permission.

Player names, team names, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for informational and entertainment purposes under fair use principles.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or any form of automated access to the Platform.
  • Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the Platform.
  • Manipulate or attempt to manipulate trading outcomes.
  • Collude with other users to gain unfair advantage.
  • Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users through the Platform's communication features.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent rules or gain advantage.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We disclaim all warranties including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
  • We are not liable for any loss of virtual currency, virtual assets, account data, or game progress.
  • We are not liable for service interruptions, downtime, data loss, server failures, or technical issues of any kind.
  • We are not liable for the actions of other users on the Platform.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed $0 (zero dollars), as the Platform is a free entertainment service with no monetary transactions.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SportBazaar, its operators, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of a third party.

12. Privacy

  • We collect and store your display name, email address, and hashed password.
  • We store your game activity including trades, holdings, and chat messages.
  • We use cookies for session management.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and improvement of the Platform.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
  • We may send transactional emails related to your account activity.

13. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Platform (or any part of it) at any time without notice or liability. We may also perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. All virtual currency, holdings, and game progress will be forfeited upon termination.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of India. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SportBazaar regarding use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
